Authentic and simple, pleasant Neelam`s stands out from the other restaurants vying for customers on this part of "the Ave." Be careful, though, because they believe you when you say you like hot food. A large buffet featuring a delicious assortment of house specialties is offered at lunch. The baigan bhartha (a roasted eggplant curry) is wonderful, as are the malai kofta (vegetarian "meatballs" with herbs, cheese, and a creamy sauce).
